Hey Santa was looking for you....

Ok so it's like way too close to Christmas for my comfort, ie. I have gotten almost NOTHING for my family. What I have gotten is (accidently) two gifts for this weeks Christmas party with the VFD. So I am left with one set of mugs and a blanket I have to return/exchange. I'm thinking I will keep the blanket - well exchange it for another color, of course red would go nice on my Mom's couch.... and return the mug set. Cause really, I have to many non-holiday themed mugs I don't use. Hello, one person? Why do I need a set of four? Ya. Nope.

So um ya, this weekend was all kinds of fun: Sat. woke up to find my WATER turned OFF - OMG! - but then heard the backhoe next door and figured along with ripping up the road/lawn, they had turned the water off. I'd been more forgiving (perhaps) if they hadn't started BEFORE 8a.m. Don't they know I sleep in until then on the weekends??

So I went shopping in Waco, bought presents for VFD, came home relaxed like I hadn't a care in the world - which I didn't cause my water was back on, and now the trench and soil pile was half way down my lawn. Watched movies, painted ornaments (pernounced with my still somewhat there NE accent - or-d-ements. Yes I know it has no 'd' in it...) with the colors of Isis... went back upstairs to check messages for the afternoon - and found out during all the digging, they must have snipped the telephone/internet line too. Oh JOY! So no internet and no phone (still actually) since Sat. evening...

Sunday I woke up with a headache and what I thought was a fever. So I skipped Sunday School decided to take a shower and go to church only to realize (half way there) I don't know the new service times, so I went to Waco instead. Got a new present since my other painting project just turned out to be too small. So I came home, and started painting and desinging while trying to sip water, tea and keep my self un-sick. So far I feel a lot better... I am now hoping we get to the deadline, and can go home at 5pm. I want to work on the LJ banner and icon contest, even so I don't have internet and am working on limited pics. I can always come back here to work and grab a few with my thumb drive.

Anyway, on with the holiday spirit, shall we? dine7184 found these... blame her!

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Wednesday I pulled dine7184's hair (-5 points). Last week I helped niseag03 see the light (8 points). In July I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In January trisana and I robbed a bank (-50 points). Last Tuesday I signed my organ donor card (28 points).

Overall, I've been nice (307 points). For Christmas I deserve an Easy-Bake Oven!

The answer is no - Ooh baby, it's cold outside

This welcome has been - I'm lucky that you dropped in

So nice and warm -- Look out the window at that storm

But being snowed in is icing on the cake
