Slightly better news...
First, *huggles massively flist* You all are the worlds best at reminding me I have more to smile about than frown about! We all need the lift, and the other day was my almost giving up post. Thanks for reminding me why I don't give up and I have a support system.
*passes tissues*
Ok and on to some slightly better news!
* I found and applied to 3 newspapers here in Texas. Only one response and that was to ask what I have been doing since September. Just said been working on freelance pieces (I have, just more in fandom kind of things, but I am good at pulling stuff out of my ass), and part time jobs. Well he responded and gave me another lead! not bad. except he labeled me "entry level" grrr! I just need about another 2 or so years and than I will not be labeled as "entry level" - SOMEONE GIMME A CHANCE!!!
* Went to the courthouse to find about a possible job as the County Judge's secretary, and the secretary gave me some other positions. She will call sometime today to let me know about what she has found. Also have to ask if her position is opening.
* Went to the funeral home (I live in back of it, it's not THAT odd... quiet neighbors), and talked to the director's wife, she also works at the courthouse. She confirmed the JC's secretary position is open and that one of the home loan places is looking for a title searcher. So this morning I gathered my stuff and went there and turned in my resume. We shall see.
* I went to the Marlin Independent School District to pick up an application to be a substitute teacher. I had picked up an app a while back, but lost it. So over Christmas Mom and I were brain storming, and she suggested to try for it. Who knows, I may like it, and most places will do an dual teach/credit kind of certification. I said if I do that, I'd go for reading or literature and most likely in the High School. Who knows I may go crazy and like it.
Also in my journeys of this morning, I also went to the shoe repair guy. My fire pants should be done by Monday or so... So I shall go round when I finish doing the application me thinks.
Ah! A totally random thing (wow, like you all expect sane linear thoughts from me normally) today is Aset's 6 month birthday!!! so here is a little collage of my baby!

I feel bad, I should do one of Isis too. At the moment Isis is on my lap, under the blanket I have wrapped around myself. She is exceptionally cuddly when she is cold. She warms up and warms me too! Purrrr-fect!
